Professional training on environmental protection in petroleum business in Thua Thien Hue province

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuoc - Deputy Head of Environment Protection Sub-Department, Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thua Thien Hue Province; Dr. Le Van Luan - Vice Rector of HueIC, members of the Organization Committee of the class, lecturers and students attended the program.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuoc, professional training for officers and staff in the fields of petroleum business in the province is very necessary in order to equip necessary knowledge and ensure the provisions of law in the field of strict requirements to protect the environment.

The trainees will be equipped with knowledge about 05 topics undertaken by HueIC lecturers, including: The impact of petroleum trading activities on the environment, human health and management measures; Provisions of law, responsibilities and environmental protection obligations of organizations and individuals in petrol and oil trading; Some measures to manage and treat oil-contaminated wastewater; dealing with oil spills and explosion in petrol and oil trading; Environmental safety in the process of transporting and trading petrol and oil; A number of measures to manage and treat solid waste in petrol and oil trading. After finishing the training course, based on the final test result, students will be granted a certificate issued by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thua Thien Hue Province if it meets the requirements.
